This extremely aesthetic copper was collected 1986 by Bob Seasor in unit 94 of the S.W. Ore Body of the White Pine Mine in Michigan. Front and back sides are pictured. This is a flattened dendritic cluster of branching copper crystals made up of flat dodecahedrons. The Copper is lightly coated by either Chalcocite or Bornite which gives it a bluish patina. It is associated with massive barite. This piece is large (see pic where I am holding it), and yet it is well crystallized and has a beautiful patina. A classic example of fine crystallized copper from Michigan. From the collection of Bob Nowakowski (label included).
