Tanzanite

Elongated, tall crystal with deep blue color and transparent at the termination. This one has interesting form that reminds me of a skyscraper due to the stepped growth patterns on the sides. Good red color when lit up the C-axis too, which is not always there in good color, even among non-heated crystals such as this. I have backlit a couple of the photos to show the color and transparent areas. I would price this at $1500 and I've seen crystal like this offered elsewhere for $3000-$4000.
