Thick layer of satiny blue Smithsonite from recent finds in the Republic of Congo. The Smithsonite froms a 1cm-thick layer over a small amount of matrix. A thin layer of Aurichalcite can be seen along the edge and adds color. The top surface is botryoidal with a shimmering, satiny luster. Beautiful new Smithsonite!!
