Translucent light purple cubic Fluorite crystals on matrix from the Surprise Mine in New Mexico. The Fluorite has stepped surface growths and good translucency. The main crystal is 3.2cm on the diagonal. This specimen was mined in 2014. A brief description of this find was presented in Tom Moore's report in the Jan/Feb 2015 issue of the Mineralogical Record. It doesn't have super bright color, but it a good sized crystal that displays well and it's translucent to transparent with faint color zoning.
