Scapolite

Gemmy and lustrous, water-clear, yellow Scapolite crystal with glassy termination faces from Morogoro, Tanzania. The recent finds of Scapolite from Tanzania have been outstanding. A fine Scapolite, complete all-around and with only minor edge wear, chipping, mostly on the backside. Such elongated crystals are hard to come by. Great aesthetics and an impressive gem crystal. Weighs 20 grams. Note that the camera accentuates any surface flaws of the crystal and when I hold this in hand, my eye focuses on the complete internal flawlessness of the crystal.
