Three smaller Epidote after Andradite crystals atop a larger Andradite crystal. Part of the surface of the smaller crystals has a remaining red veneer of Andradite. The backside is contacted which gives a 'window' to the interior of the crystals and shows alternating bands of Epidote and Andradite. An excellent example of this replacement.
