Large polished heart with a crystal lined center cut from a Septarian Nodule, which are unusual Calcite filled nodules found in Utah.
Septarians were formed during the Cretaceous period, 50 to 70 million years ago, when Calcite and Aragonite filled cracks and voids in concretions. The grey is Limestone, the dark brown around the grey areas is Aragonite,
and the yellow is Calcite. Well carved and polished, large, and undamaged.
