Fossilized tree sap containing a large number of well preserved flying insects. There are many small insects and a couple larger flys that look similar in size and form
to current houseflys. Copal is similar to amber,
just younger in age. This copal is from the tree species Hymenaea verrucosa and believed to be from the Quaternary Period.
