Alabandite

Large, undamaged octahedral Alabandite crystal with a minor amount of attached Pyrite. Compound crystal with clean, smooth faces and some stepped and cavernous growth structures on the sides. This is a big crystal that not only has size but also fine quality. These are considered by many as the best of species and are certainly the largest ever found. A crystal like this would have sold in several thousands of dollars when they were first found. Prices have come down since the initial find, but this is still a great price for a crystal like this.
