Large translucent brown Pargasite crystals from an obscure locality in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. A superb California specimen, one of the best Pargasites from the Chuck Trantham collection, and there are no better Pargasites shown on Mindat for this locality. The Pargasites are well formed and reach 1.7cm in size and cover the surface of the matrix, which is saw cut on the back. His label shows a locality of 'Locality No. 2, Twin Lakes area, near Lake Shore, Fresno Co., California' and indicates it was collected in August of 1985.
