Grossular

Gem orange Grossular crystal from the now closed Jeffrey Mine in Canada, famous for what many consider to be the best Grossular crystals known.  This is a large single crystal with a smaller attached crystal near the bottom. The bottom crystal is complete, and technically so is the large crystal.  The back of the large crystal is flat and fully crystallized, but either grew up against other crystals or detached and recrystallized in the pocket. In either case it's a nice crystal and would display equallly well or better with the smaller crystal oriented to the top.
