Large specimen of Ankerite, a mineral similar to Dolomite, on green Mariposite. Quality large specimen with great crystals to over 2cm. Mariposite is a dolomitic marble included by chromium rich mica found in the foothills of California and was often an indicator of nearby Gold and gives this specimen the green coloration. This is a good sized, quality example (the largest I've ever had) and valued at $350.
