Pyrite specimens always make some of the brightest and showy of mineral specimens, and those with octahedral crystals such as this old timer are much less common than most. This specimen has well formed crystals to 2.5cm wide intergrown with grey Enargite crystals and dates back to approximately the 1980s.The Morococha mine is a large silver mine located in the center of Peru in the Junín Region.
