A large chunky, glossy black Ilvaite crystal from recent finds in Inner Mongolia. This is a heavy crystal with a typical chisel shaped termination and a natural indentation from another crystal on the backside. Undamaged and complete all around with the exception of edge chipping on the lower part of one edge. Ilvaite is a heavy iron and calcium silicate mineral and this crystal weighs a hefty 147 grams.
