Bright translucent purple Coquimbite crystals on matrix from recent finds at the Monte Arsiccio Mine in Italy. The Monte Arisiccio Mine is an old iron mine that worked Barite, Pyrite, and iron oxide ore bodies. Along with other uncommon sulfate minerals, this mine has produced what are in my opinion the world's best Coquimbite specimens. The main Coquimbite crystal is well formed and 1.5cm in size and has incredibly rich purple coloration. These specimens should be kept sealed in plastic bags or boxes or otherwise be kept from high humidity or moisture. This specimen comes mounted in a plastic box.
