Purple Coquimbite crystals from recent finds at the Monte Arsiccio Mine in Italy. This is a hard to find distinct isolated crystal. The Monte Arisiccio Mine is an old iron mine that worked Barite, Pyrite, and iron oxide ore bodies. Along with other uncommon sulfate minerals, this mine has produced what are in my opinion the world's best Coquimbite specimens. This specimen is composed of a 1.5cm single Coquimbite crystal with smaller crystals growing out the front and back faces. These specimens should be kept sealed in plastic bags or boxes or otherwise be kept from high humidity or moisture.
