Cluster of well formed purple Coquimbite crystals on matrix from recent finds at the Monte Arsiccio Mine in Italy. The Monte Arisiccio Mine is an old iron mine that worked Barite, Pyrite, and iron oxide ore bodies. Along with other uncommon sulfate minerals, this mine has produced what are in my opinion the world's best Coquimbite specimens. This specimen has Coquimbite crystals to 1.1cm in size that dispaly well atop a small amount of matrix. These specimens should be kept sealed in plastic bags or boxes or otherwise be kept from high humidity or moisture.
