Chinese carving said to be Kuan Yin holding a vase of prosperity that I obtained as part of a larger collection of minerals purchased. The
carving comes with a certificate prepared by Ian Simpson claiming that the carving is from the Tan Dynasty. My understanding is that the carving was
purchased in the 1970s in China and later sold to the party from whom I obtained it. I cannot verify the vality of the certificate or age of the carving.
I can say the carving is in great condition and made from a hard, translucent rock that appears to be Nephrite jade. I value this at $200-$300.
