Small, transparent reddish-brown Painite crystals can be found mixed among red Corundum (var. Ruby) crystals on one face of the matrix.
A very rare mineral, Painite chemistry is CaZrBAl9O18. It has also been found to contain minor amounts of Chromium and Vanadium
and traces of Iron.
