During the 1960's and 1970's, the Elmwood Mine in Tennessee was a prolific source of large Sphalerite, Baryte, Galena, and Calcite specimens. This is a well-preserved example from that era that shows white granular Baryte in association with dark wine-red Sphalerite crystals. In great shape with no damage and the only point of attachment seen on the bottom. Once common, these are now hard to find, especially a large one in prime condition. It retains an old dealer label from 1977. Weight is 3lb, 6.5oz.
