Three Almandine garnet crystals in schist matrix from the well known Wrangell Island locality in Alaska. The crystals reach 1.8cm wide with purple/red coloration and translucency and are well exposed from the schist. The garnets are nearly pristine with only very minor edge chipping. Sawcut on base. A USA classic.
