The only way to describe this specimen is to say it's an absolute jewel! Doubly-terminated Calcite crystal from the Elmwood Mine in Tennessee. This is a stunning, pristine crystal with golden coloration that deepens near the terminations. Though Calcite is not a rare mineral, even as very large crystals, they are difficult to find in the quality. A competition level miniature. Like a faceted jewel made by the earth.
