Polish slab of what is called 'Bumblebee Jasper', which is a colorful fibrous calcite found at Mount Papandayan, West Java, Indonesia (and not a true jasper which is Quartz). 'Bumblebee Jasper' is composed of radially grown fibrous calcite yellow, orange, and black banding. The orange and yellow colors are caused by Realgar and Orpiment and the black is caused by Hematite. This is a large sized display piece well polished on both sides. Valued at $300 for the large size and excellent banding.
