Large translucent green Kyanite crystal with a blue stripe. This crystal was far and away the best of a find of these distinct Kyanite crystals from about a year ago. To make my point, all the rest were shipped back from Tanzania in a crate - this one was taken home on the plane. This color combo of the light green with a deep blue stripe is uncommon and somewhat similar to material that used to come out of Brazil. A long crystal (over 6 inches!), with a smooth, flat termination at one end.
