Purple amethyst crystals on top of which grew Calcite crystals which were later covered by drusy
Quartz. Most of the Calcites later etched away leaving hollow hexagonal casts of Quartz. Surprisingly some of the Calcite
remains. Why some still have Calcite and others are completley hollow is a mystery to me.
