An 8mm Beryl crystal that has psuedomorphed to Turquoise that has been well protected by the surrounding matrix (these are brittle on most are destroyed in the removal process). The following is quoted from Mindat 'Chesterman at the Ca. Div. of Mines and Geology confirmed turquoise pseudomorphs after beryl based on morphology, trace beryl remnants and in situ beryl nearby.
