Turquoise in matrix from historic Bisbee, Arizona. The Turquoise was located in the conglomerate rock atop the main Copper ore deposits that was removed as overburden. Most the Bisbee Turquoise was therefore recovered in the mine dumps in the 1950s and 1960s and are now uncommon. The specimen comes mounted in an old 2 inch x 2 inch plastic box with label. It has one sawn flat surface to show the sky-blue Turquoise.
