Large Coquimbite crystals with attached red Romerite from recent finds at the Monte Arsiccio Mine in Italy. The Monte Arisiccio Mine is an old iron mine that worked Barite, Pyrite, and iron oxide ore bodies. Along with other uncommon sulfate minerals, this mine has produced what are in my opinion the world's best Coquimbite specimens. This specimen includes a large Coquimbite crystal 2.5cm in size with other smaller crystals. The Coquimbite are translucent with incredibly rich purple coloration. These specimens should be kept sealed in plastic bags or boxes or otherwise be kept from high humidity or moisture. This specimen comes mounted in a plastic box.
